Wiklöf Holding Arena

It opened as Idrottsparken, a plain description of what it was, and stayed that for over seventy years before Åland businessman Anders Wiklöf put money behind a rebuild through his company, Wiklöf Holding, and the ground took his name instead.

What it did not change is who plays there: IFK Mariehamn and Åland United share the pitch, one ground carrying both the men's and women's game for a place with no second stadium to fall back on.

The surface is artificial turf, which on an archipelago means fewer seasons lost to weather no one can do anything about. At just over 1,600 seats, capacity was never the point — Mariehamn is a small capital, and the arena was built to match the city it sits in rather than to reach beyond it.
