Erwin Junior Sánchez Paniagua

Erwin Junior Sánchez Paniagua was born in Lisbon. He started out at Real Potosí, where he made his debut in March 2015 and opened his goal-scoring account that September. He returned to Bolivia in 2018 to sign for Blooming.

Over five seasons he made more than a hundred appearances for the club, establishing himself as a regular in midfield. A loan spell took him to The Strongest during part of the 2021 season, where he added four more appearances, before he returned to Blooming duty. In early 2023 he moved on to Oriente Petrolero, turning out around 57 times across the 2023 and 2024 campaigns.

His performances in the Bolivian league earned him international recognition. He made his debut for Bolivia on 11 October 2016, in a friendly against Venezuela that ended 4-1 to the Bolivians, and went on to collect seven caps. He was named in the squad for the 2021 Copa América, featuring in matches against Paraguay and Uruguay.

At San Antonio Bulo Bulo, the left-footed midfielder has found regular football and goals, after they won the Torneo Apertura of the Bolivian Primera División in 2024 and secured qualification for the 2025 Copa Libertadores.
