About the player
Emiliano Ramos came through Everton de Viña del Mar's academy after starting out at Huracán Arica, joining the club's youth ranks in 2019. He made his senior debut in the Copa Chile in June 2022 and was formally registered with the first team from January 2024, scoring his first professional goal against Cobresal in May of that year. Since then the left-footed forward, usually deployed on the left wing, has made 36 league appearances and scored three goals as of August 2025.
Ramos has been capped 11 times for Chile's youth sides, scoring twice, including in matches against Paraguay and Uruguay during the 2025 South American U-20 Championship. That campaign was followed by a setback: he suffered a serious hamstring injury against Japan at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He recovered in time to earn a senior call-up, making his debut for Chile on 10 September 2025 in a goalless World Cup qualifier against Uruguay, though he is yet to score at that level.
Recognition has so far stayed just out of reach. He was nominated for Best Young Player at the 2025 Gala Crack, organised by TNT Sports and the ANFP, but the award went to Benjamín Chandía. At club level, Everton have not lifted the Chilean Primera División since 1976, and Ramos has not featured as the team's top scorer — a distinction held by Alan Medina.
