About the player
André-Frank Zambo Anguissa started out at AS Fortuna in Yaoundé before joining Coton Sport FC, where he made his senior debut in the 2013–14 season. A move to Stade de Reims followed, but he never made a first-team appearance there. His career took shape at Olympique de Marseille, where he started the 2018 UEFA Europa League final against Atlético Madrid — a match Marseille lost 3–0, with Anguissa involved in the mistake that led to the first goal.
That summer he left for Fulham in a €30 million transfer. His spell in England was interrupted by loan moves to Villarreal and then to Napoli, where he arrived in August 2021. Napoli made the deal permanent for €15 million in July 2022. He won the Serie A title with Napoli in 2022–23 and again in 2024–25, and was named Serie A Player of the Month in January 2025 and October 2025. In 2023 he was named to the CAF Team of the Year.
With Cameroon, Anguissa made his debut on 24 March 2017 and has gone on to earn 56 caps and score 5 goals. He was part of the Cameroon side that finished third at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
