Ián Franco Rasso

Ián Franco Rasso came through the youth system at Vélez Sarsfield and was called into the first-team squad for five official matches in 2021, including fixtures against Racing Club, Barcelona de Guayaquil, Rosario Central and Defensa y Justicia, without making his competitive debut for the club. That debut came instead away from Buenos Aires, on loan at Almirante Brown, where he made 14 appearances. A subsequent loan to Atlanta yielded only four appearances before the arrangement was ended by mutual consent for lack of playing time.

It was at Colegiales, initially on loan and later on a permanent deal, that Rasso established himself. He made 81 appearances for the club, scoring three goals, and was a key player in the side that won the Primera B Metropolitana title, securing promotion to the Primera Nacional.

A move to Quilmes followed, where he added 13 appearances and a goal, before he moved abroad for the first time in July 2026, joining Deportes La Serena in Chile. The transfer was initially described as a loan from Quilmes, though later reports indicated he had instead rescinded his contract with the Argentine club to sign with La Serena on a free transfer until the end of 2026.

Rasso has not represented Argentina at senior or youth international level, nor has he taken up Chilean citizenship since arriving in the country.
