About the player
Ivan Sergeev arrived at Dynamo Moscow in July 2025, with the club paying 4.5 million euros to sign him from Krylia Sovetov.
Sergeev's route to the top was anything but direct. He started out at Strogyno, making his debut in 2014. It was on loan at Torpedo Moscow in 2018 that his career turned: he scored 16 goals in 26 games and helped the club win the Third Division, form that earned him a permanent move there as a free agent.
That run took him to Zenit in January 2022 for 2.15 million euros, where he won three consecutive Russian Premier League titles alongside the Russian Cup and three Super Cups. He remains Krylia Sovetov's all-time leading scorer in the Russian era and shares the record for most goals in Russian Cup history. Sergeev made his debut for the Russia national team in October 2023 and has since been capped 13 times, scoring three goals. He was named among the league's 33 best players of the season, finishing third in both 2021/22 and 2023/24.
