Jonathan Perez

Jonathan Pérez came through the LA Galaxy academy, playing for the reserve side Ventura County FC before signing a homegrown contract in February 2020. He made 53 appearances and scored 11 goals for Ventura County, and went on to appear 16 times for the Galaxy's first team. He was part of the squad that won the MLS Cup in 2024.

In July 2024, Pérez moved to Nashville SC on loan, a spell that included brief stints away at Huntsville City FC and Chivas' reserve side Tapatío. He scored his first MLS goal against CF Montreal during his time with Nashville, and helped the club win the U.S. Open Cup in 2025. Nashville made the move permanent that August, paying a fee with performance-related add-ons attached.

The midfielder's path took another turn in February 2026, when Chivas Guadalajara signed him from Nashville for a club-record fee.

Born in the United States, Pérez represented the USA at U-16 level before switching allegiance to Mexico, for whom he has since played across the U-16, U-18, U-20 and U-23 age groups, including the 2023 Maurice Revello Tournament with the U-23s. He has not yet made his senior debut for the Mexican national team.
