Julio César González Trinidad

Julio César González Trinidad started out at Sportivo Carapeguá, the club of the town where he was born, making his professional debut in September 2013 before the side was relegated at the end of that season. He rebuilt his career at General Díaz, where he stayed for four years, made 109 appearances and scored twice, and played in the Copa Sudamericana in both 2014 and 2018.

That run earned him a move abroad in July 2018, when he joined Argentine club Defensa y Justicia. In January 2020 he switched to Mexican football with Necaxa, a transfer structured so that Defensa y Justicia retained 25% of his registration rights. Two years later, in January 2022, he returned to Paraguay on loan at Guaraní.

He signed for Sportivo Ameliano in January 2023 and has since become the team's captain, wearing the armband in recent seasons. He scored for the club during the 2024 season. Despite a career that has taken him through Paraguay, Argentina and Mexico, he has not been capped at senior level for the Paraguay national team, and he has yet to add a major domestic or international title to his record.
