About the player
Keimer Sandoval broke into senior football at Orsomarso, the Palmira academy, playing across the 2023–2024 seasons in Colombia's Primera B before a move to Spain.
Red Star Belgrade took him on loan with an option to buy in January 2025. Sandoval featured sparingly for the Serbian side's first team, but the club won the 2024–25 Serbian SuperLiga during his spell there. He returned to Betis in December 2025 before moving on loan again, this time to Deportivo Cali in February 2026, back in the country where he started out.
At international level, Sandoval represented Colombia's under-20 side, debuting in 2025 under César Torres and going on to earn caps for the age group after an earlier call-up to the under-18s in 2024 that did not bring a first appearance. His path with the U20s hit a setback in September 2025, when he was removed from the squad named for the FIFA U-20 World Cup following a disciplinary issue related to alcohol consumption in his hotel room.
A centre-back by trade, Sandoval now wears number 16 at Deportivo Cali as he looks to rebuild momentum on loan.
