L. Flores

Leonel Flores made his senior debut for Boca Juniors on 16 July 2026 in a Copa Argentina Round of 16 tie against Sarmiento de Junín — and made it count, scoring and being named Player of the Match in a 2-0 win. It capped a rise for a player who had joined the Boca academy at the age of seven, after starting out at El Zorzal and Barrufaldi.

The winger worked his way through the club's youth ranks, winning the Séptima División title in 2023 before stepping up to the reserve side, where he was named Player of Greatest Projection in the 2025 Clausura reserve tournament after helping Boca to the Reserve League title. He signed his first professional contract on 10 September 2024.

Since that Copa Argentina bow, Flores has pushed into first-team contention, going on to make 14 senior appearances and score twice — once in the Copa Argentina and once in the Copa Sudamericana. He has continued to feature for Boca Juniors' reserve team as well, scoring nine goals in eight appearances there this season.

Flores has also represented Argentina at Under-20 level, featuring at the 2025 South American U-20 Championship and in friendlies against Australia in June 2025. As a graduate of Boca's own youth system, his progress has come without any transfer fee attached to his name.
