About the player
Luciano Giménez Alanda started at Central Norte in his home city, moved to the Boca Juniors academy at 15, but never got a senior debut there, and returned to Central Norte for his first taste of professional football, scoring five goals in 25 appearances in the Torneo Federal A.
The years that followed were a tour of Argentina's lower divisions. It was at Chacarita Juniors in 2023 that his career changed shape: 13 goals in 34 matches in the Primera Nacional.
Cuiabá signed him in Brazil for a fee reported between €835,000 and €900,000, and he played 18 matches in the Brasileirão while the club won the Campeonato Matogrossense. Estudiantes de La Plata moved for the bulk of his rights soon after, in a deal reported at up to €1.9 million with add-ons. At Estudiantes he made 28 appearances, scored three goals, and won the Trofeo de Campeones in 2024.
He arrived at Huracán on loan in July 2025, and a further loan to Platense has since followed. He has yet to be capped by the Argentina senior side.
