Leandro Maciel

Leandro Maciel came up through Lanús, making his senior debut there in 2016 and picking up a Primera División title medal that year, though his involvement was limited to a single league appearance. The following season he was part of the Lanús squad that reached the Copa Libertadores final, losing to Boca Juniors, and made three appearances in that campaign. A loan to Aldosivi in 2019–20 turned permanent in August 2020, and he stayed at the club until 2022 before signing for Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero as a free agent in February 2023. That season proved his busiest yet, with close to forty appearances across the Liga Profesional, the Copa de la Liga Profesional and the Copa Argentina, and four goals scored in the league.

In January 2024 Maciel left Argentina for Brazil, joining Botafogo-SP. He featured in the Campeonato Paulista that year, scoring twice in around ten appearances, but his season was cut short in March when he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during a match against Guarani. The injury kept him out for the rest of the year, and he did not return to the squad until November 2024.
