Manuel Lanzini

Manuel Lanzini stands 167 cm tall, a build that never stopped him from becoming West Ham United's Players' Player of the Year for 2016–17. He came through the River Plate academy and made his senior debut in August 2010, before a loan spell at Fluminense in 2011–12, where he scored his first official goal against São Paulo. Back at River Plate, he won the Torneo Final twice and the Copa Sudamericana in 2014, form that took him to Al Jazira in the United Arab Emirates later that year.

A loan move to West Ham United in July 2015. He was part of the squad that won the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2023. His time in England was interrupted in May 2018 by a serious ACL injury, which forced him out of that year's World Cup squad after he had already been named in it.

On the international stage, Lanzini earned five caps for Argentina's senior team between 2017 and 2019, scoring his only goal in a friendly against Italy in March 2018. He also represented the Argentina under-20 side. He returned to River Plate on a free transfer in 2023 once his West Ham contract expired, before joining Vélez Sarsfield in 2025, also as a free agent.
