Steven Tapiero Rodallega

Steven Tapiero Rodallega, known also as Stiven Tapiero, is a Colombian who has spent most of his career on the move between his homeland and Ecuador. Born in Santiago de Cali, he came through Depor Aguablanca in Colombia's Primera B before joining América de Cali, where he stayed for three seasons and had a loan spell at Real Cartagena. After a further stretch back at Atlético Fútbol Club and a season with Itagüí Leones, he crossed to Ecuadorian football in 2020 to sign for Técnico Universitario.

That move opened the chapter of his career most tied to Aucas. He first joined the club on a free transfer, left to return to Técnico Universitario, then moved on to Mushuc Runa before coming back to Aucas once again in January 2026, this time also arriving as a free agent. The pattern of departures and returns between the same handful of clubs has defined his path more than any single trophy or individual honour, neither of which he has collected in his career to date. He has not been capped by Colombia at any level, senior or youth.

Now wearing the number 14 shirt at Aucas, Tapiero returns to a club and a country where he has already built a track record, giving the Ecuadorian side a player with first-hand knowledge of the league gained across two separate spells with Técnico Universitario and a season at Mushuc Runa.
