Arnett Gardens shares Kingston with Tivoli Gardens, and the fixture between them carries more than league points. Both clubs draw from opposite ends of West Kingston, and the West Kingston Derby has long been treated as an extension of the neighbourhoods behind it — a stabbing during the tie in 2025 was the latest reminder that the rivalry does not stay confined to ninety minutes. A separate, quieter needle exists with Waterhouse.

The club itself grew out of a merger, between the All Saints and Jones Town teams, put together by Anthony Spaulding — whose name now sits on the club's home ground. The nickname, The Junglists, comes from the same source as the merger: the area around the club is known locally as the Concrete Jungle, and the team took the district's name rather than choosing one of its own.

Domestically, Arnett Gardens has taken the Jamaica Premier League five times, spread from 1978 to 2017, with the KSAFA Jackie Bell Knockout Competition won on seven separate occasions across three decades — a cup the club has treated as its own turf as much as any league campaign. Among the players who passed through, Theodore Whitmore is the name that carries furthest beyond Jamaica, having gone on to manage the national team after his playing days.

The club's reach beyond domestic football came later than its trophy cabinet suggests: a Round of 16 appearance in the CONCACAF League arrived only in 2018, and the regional breakthrough followed in 2024, when Arnett Gardens beat Grenades to win the CFU Caribbean Club Shield — the first Caribbean-wide title in a history that had, until then, stayed almost entirely within Jamaica's own borders.
