About

The Polish Handball Cup is the primary national knockout competition for men's handball in Poland. Organised by the Polish Handball Federation (Związek Piłki Ręcznej w Polsce, ZPRP), it sits in the pyramid below the top-tier league, the Orlen Superliga. Qualification is open to clubs from the Superliga, the second-tier I Liga, and lower divisions, with lower-tier teams often entering via regional qualifiers organized by Provincial Handball Associations (WZPR). Reserve teams are permitted to participate in the early regional stages but are generally restricted from advancing to the national Final Four or winning the title.

The tournament has evolved significantly over time. Since the 2011/2012 season, the competition has employed a 'Final Four' format for the concluding stage, where the last four teams compete in single-match semi-finals and a final, held over a single weekend in a fixed location. The competition is distinct from the Polish Super Cup, which is a single-match fixture between the league champion and the Cup winner. The most successful club in the competition's history is Vive Targi Kielce, with 18 titles. The second most successful club is Orlen Wisła Płock with 14 titles.

The current holder of the cup is Orlen Wisła Płock, having won the 2025–26 season. Notable historical details include the dominance of Kielce and Płock in the modern era, with the Final Four format introduced to enhance the spectacle of the finals. The competition has had various sponsors, including PGNiG and Orlen, reflected in its official name. The inaugural season was 1958/1959, and it was first won by Śląsk Wrocław.
