Slovenian Cup (Slovakia) 2023/24

The Slovenian Handball Cup, known locally as Pokal Slovenije, stands as the premier knockout competition for the sport in the country. Organised by the Handball Federation of Slovenia (RZS), the tournament was established in the 1991–92 season, following the nation’s independence and succeeding the Yugoslav Handball Cup. The event features separate tournaments for men and women.

The men's competition currently involves 37 teams. The structure includes preliminary rounds reducing the field to 16 teams. The top four clubs enter directly in the Round of 16. Since the 2024–25 season, the tournament has utilized a 'Final Four' format for the semi-finals, third-place match, and final, hosted at a single venue. Prior to this, finals were often two-legged or single matches at rotating venues.

The winner qualifies for European club competitions, typically the EHF European League or its qualification rounds, depending on the EHF coefficients and national allocation rules for that season. There is no promotion or relegation linked to the cup.

RK Celje is the dominant force in the men's competition, having won 23 titles as of the 2025–26 season, including a streak of 10 consecutive wins from 1992 to 2001. Notable upsets include RD Prule 67 defeating Celje in 2002 and RD Slovan winning their first title in 2025. RK Krim dominates the women's competition with 30 titles. The cup has had various sponsors, notably Pivovarna Union. The 2019–20 season was cancelled due to the pandemic, and the 2020–21 season was not held. The 2025–26 men's final was won by RK Celje, who defeated Trimo Trebnje 36–31.
