Folló HK — Bergen: 32:33, NM Cup

Bergen claimed a narrow 33-32 victory over Folio in the Norwegian Cup on Wednesday, September 23rd. The hosts had something to prove after a string of inconsistent results, while the visitors arrived with momentum from their recent performances.

Folio's form had been shaky of late — losses to Runar and Arendal among them — whereas Bergen had picked up wins against Arendal, Elverum, and Asane in their previous five outings. The contrast in confidence levels was visible from the opening whistle.

We had backed the visitors in our preview, putting 63 per cent confidence on Bergen to go through. And here's the thing — they delivered when it mattered, holding their nerve in a match that never quite settled into a rhythm either side could control.

The result leaves Bergen top of their cup group with nine points from three games, while Folio sit fourth with zero games and zero points — the season has only just begun for the hosts, and the table says nothing yet.

It was a game decided by moments rather than dominance. Bergen didn't run away from it, but they weren't caught in possession at the crucial times, and that made the difference between going home empty-handed and moving forward.
