Jezero drew 1-1 with Bokelj in the First League regular season on Tuesday. The result leaves both sides with a point each after eight games. Jezero sit eighth on nine points, while Bokelj move up to fourth with twelve.
A. Nishimura opened the scoring in the fifty-ninth minute, but it was N. Djurovic who found an equaliser eight minutes from time. The match had its share of friction too — I. Redzepagic and A. Osmanovic picked up yellow cards before the break, and B. Nurkovic, D. Talovic, and M. Cuestas went to the referee after the restart. By then, D. Dinga had already been brought on at half-time.
And here's the thing about the statistics: both teams finished on fifty per cent possession, but the shots tell a different story. Jezero managed three shots on target and three off, while Bokelj had four on and eight off. The visitors were second to everything in terms of accuracy, yet they couldn't put the game to bed early.
There were plenty of changes on both sides. Bokelj brought on V. Terzic and Marcondele in the sixties, then D. Perovic alongside Marcondele at the hour mark. Jezero responded with D. Talovic and I. Redzepagic in the eightieth minute, taking off each other's replacements. To be fair, neither manager wanted to sit on a draw.
We had Jezero winning at forty-five per cent confidence, but the match went another way. Bokelj held on grimly after going behind, and that late equaliser from Djurovic was worth more than the possession figures suggested. The hosts had more attacks — 133 to 112 — but the extra corners and throw-ins didn't translate into chances.
The result keeps Bokelj within three points of the top four, though the gap feels larger than the numbers show. Jezero remain eighth, and the away form has been the problem all season. They'll need to claw their way back if they want to avoid the drop.
