Wielun — Konskie: 34:29, I Liga

Wilun beat Konska 34 to 29 at home on Sunday in the Polish First League. The result came as a shock to many, including us. We had backed Konska to win with 66 per cent confidence. The match had other ideas.

Konska arrived second in the table with four wins from four games. Wilun sat ninth with six points from three matches. To be fair, the home side had shown they could score freely, hitting 37 against Troika Ostroleka just two weeks ago. Konska's defense had not been tested quite like this.

The scoreline tells part of the story. Wilun's attack found rhythm, while Konska struggled to impose their usual control. By then, the visitors had already lost their composure. The home crowd sensed blood and kept pushing.

Wilun now have six points from three games. Konska drop to second but remain unbeaten with twelve points from five matches. The gap between them and third place narrows, though the table still tells a simple story.

And here's the thing about sports. You build your models, you weigh the form, you trust the numbers. Then the ball goes where nobody expected it. Konska will want to bounce back. Wilun can talk about this one for a while.
