A. Almagro

Ariel Almagro's football education began at Universidad Católica before he moved into LDU Quito's youth ranks and then its reserve side, where he spent his first two senior seasons. A loan to Atlético Kin followed in 2020, a brief step away from the capital before he returned to Quito football with América de Quito in 2021.

The move that gave him a regular platform came in July 2022, when he joined Cumbayá FC on a free transfer. Over the following two and a half seasons he became a fixture there, making 50 league appearances and scoring five goals. That run earned him a transfer to Aucas in February 2025, where he continued as a left-sided attacker, adding 26 league appearances and two goals before the year was out.

In January 2026 Almagro left Ecuadorian football altogether, signing for Inter Toronto FC, the club formerly known as York 9 FC, on a free transfer through 2026 with an option to extend into 2027. He had yet to establish himself in the first team by the closing months of 2026.
