Christian James Vásquez Pérez

Christian Vásquez broke through at FBC Melgar, coming up through Melgar II before making his professional debut in 2018 and staying with the club until 2020. Since then he has moved on regularly, spending two seasons at UTC de Cajamarca before a run through Sport Boys, Alianza Atlético and, from 2026, Comerciantes Unidos.

Alianza Atlético has been the longest and most productive stop of his career: 61 appearances, easily his highest total at any club, and one of only two goals he has scored as a professional. The other came at Sport Boys, in 30 appearances there. Across his career he has made 146 professional appearances, a tally built more on consistent selection than end product.

His time with Comerciantes Unidos was brief. He featured five times for the club in the Torneo Apertura, all without scoring, before leaving in June for Atlético Grau ahead of the second half of the year. Internationally, his involvement has stopped short of the senior team. He was called into a Peru under-20 training camp in April 2018 as part of preparations for the South American U-20 Championship, though nothing on record shows him featuring in the competition itself.
