E. Michael

Emmanuel Michael came through Moses Simon's Simoiben Football Academy before a loan spell announced the shape of his early career: sent to Gombe United in October 2023, the left-back scored once in six Nigeria Premier Football League appearances before returning to the academy the following spring. That loan spell was enough to persuade LASK Linz to take him on a season-long loan with an option to buy in August 2024.

LASK initially placed him with their reserve side, Amateure OÖ, in the Regionalliga Mitte, where he made three appearances before his promotion to the senior squad in January 2025. He made substitute appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga, coming off the bench against RB Salzburg, SV Josko Ried and Wolfsberger AC during the 2025/26 campaign — a season in which LASK went on to win both the Austrian Bundesliga and the Austrian Cup, with Michael part of the squad throughout.

Michael has represented Nigeria at youth level rather than senior international football, playing in all four of the country's matches at the 2023 CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations for the Golden Eaglets, having also featured at the 2022 WAFU B U-17 Championship. A left-footed defender capable of playing at left-back or on the left of midfield, he has since moved on loan to FC Admira Wacker for the 2026/27 season, making his first appearance for the club in August 2026.
