Gonzalo Recuena

Gonzalo Requena came through the youth ranks at Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba and worked his way into the first team, going on to make 39 league appearances for the club between 2023 and 2026. In February 2026 the centre-back moved abroad for the first time, joining Russian side Krylia Sovetov Samara on loan. His spell in Russia lasted six months and yielded two appearances in the Russian Premier League and one in the Russian Cup, without a goal or an assist to his name. The loan was cut short by mutual agreement in July 2026, and Requena returned to Argentina.

That same month he joined Tigre on loan, taking the number 23 shirt and stepping into a squad competing in the Primera División. At 185 cm, he offers the kind of physical presence clubs look for at the back.

He has yet to add a major trophy or individual award to his career. Tigre now represents a fresh attempt to build the kind of run of appearances he managed at Instituto.
