J. Torres

Josué Torres spent his development years inside Universitario de Deportes' academy, cycling through loan after loan in search of first-team football. The path took him to Unión Comercio in Liga 1 across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, then to Deportivo Llacuabamba in Liga 2 in 2025, where he scored six goals in twenty matches. A brief loan move to Estudiantil CNI opened the 2026 campaign before he joined Juan Pablo II College, the club promoted to Peru's top flight after being founded in 2015.

It was at Juan Pablo II College that Torres found a regular role in the Clausura tournament. His first goal for the club came against Cienciano on 25 July 2026, when he struck in the 82nd minute of a 2-0 win, teed up by Paolo Reyna; he was rated 8.2 for the performance. He added to his tally in a 2-1 win over UTC Cajamarca in September, taking his season total to two goals in around six appearances.

A right-footed midfielder, Torres was born in Chiclayo and remains formally registered with Universitario, even as his career has so far been built away from the club that developed him. He has not yet earned an individual award or a national-team call-up, but his run of loans has given him a breadth of experience across two divisions.
