About the player
Kelvin Flórez started out at Atlético Nacional's academy, where he was part of the squad that won the Primera A Apertura 2022. He went out on loan to Real Santander in the Categoría Primera B in 2023, making 17 appearances before a move abroad took him to Red Bull Bragantino, where he spent a year with the Brazilian club's under-20 and under-23 sides. The option to sign him permanently was not taken up.
His clearest run of form came back in Colombia. Playing for Fortaleza CEIF in the top flight in 2025, Flórez scored three goals and set up five more in around 35 appearances, numbers that put him on the radar of Deportes Tolima, who took him on a one-year loan in January 2026 with an obligation or option to buy. He has continued to contribute in front of goal at the new club, scoring against Deportivo Táchira in the 2026 Copa Libertadores.
Flórez has represented Colombia at youth level but has yet to add a senior cap for the national team.
