About the player
Kevin Cataño came through the Atlético Nacional academy before leaving the club to look for first-team football elsewhere. He made his professional debut for Valledupar FC in the Primera B, against Itagüí Leones, and over two seasons there featured only sparingly.
The move to Real Cundinamarca in 2023 changed that. His appearances rose to 26 in 2024, with ten clean sheets, then to fifty in 2025, with twenty-five clean sheets — half of his matches that year ended without conceding. The season was capped by the promotion final against Cúcuta Deportivo, where Cataño saved two penalties to help take Real Cundinamarca up.
That run of form brought him back to Atlético Nacional in 2026, the club where he had started out. He was sent out on loan to Internacional de Bogotá the same year. There, split between the league and the Copa Colombia, he has kept two clean sheets in four appearances.
