About the player
Marko Pajač came home in September 2024, returning to NK Lokomotiva Zagreb after his contract at Genoa was terminated. He broke through at NK Varaždin, making ten appearances before the club's financial collapse and relegation. He then joined Lokomotiva itself, scoring once in 18 league games, with a loan at NK Sesvete producing five goals in 24 matches.
A move to Hungary followed in 2014, when he signed for Videoton. The club won the 2014–15 Nemzeti Bajnokság I title that season, though Pajač did not make a single league appearance.
He has not earned senior international caps, but back in Croatia he found form again: for the 2025–26 season he was named to the SuperSport HNL Team of the Season, now wearing the number 17 shirt for the club where he first made his name as a teenager.
