Mathias Delorge-Knieper

Mathias Delorge-Knieper was signed by Sint-Truiden as a boy in 2011, put pen to paper on his first professional contract in January 2021, and needed barely a year in the reserves before his senior chance arrived: a substitute appearance on 10 April 2022 as Sint-Truiden beat Standard Liège 3-0.

A loan spell at Lierse Kempenzonen in the first half of 2023 gave him regular senior football away from Sint-Truiden, and he returned that June without a transfer fee changing hands. There was interest from abroad that year too — Venezia reportedly offered around €3.5 million for him, but Delorge chose to stay in Belgium and continue at Sint-Truiden instead.

In July 2024, Gent paid a reported fee in the region of €3.5 million to sign him, and he committed to a four-year contract running to the summer of 2028.

He is yet to make his senior international debut.
