About the player
Yann Toualy arrived in Abidjan and moved to Canada at the age of nine, a switch that eventually gave him dual Ivorian-Canadian citizenship. After coming through the youth ranks at CS Saint-Laurent, he had trials at Atlético Ottawa, Toronto FC II and Detroit City FC without earning a contract, and a later trial at Gençler Birliği SK in Northern Cyprus also ended with no deal. What kept his career going was a return to CS Saint-Laurent, where he scored 33 goals in 49 appearances in Ligue1 Québec.
A loan spell at Vermont Green FC in USL League Two in 2024 brought four appearances and one goal, before Pacific FC signed him on a one-year deal with a 2026 option. Wearing the number 64 shirt, Toualy made an immediate mark in his first CPL season: in July 2025 he scored a hat-trick against HFX Wanderers FC, only the tenth in the league's history. Across the 2025 season he made 25 appearances and scored four goals for Pacific FC.
Toualy has also worn Canada's colours at a lower level, called up to a national futsal team camp in December 2022, though he has not featured for any senior national football side.
