Crvena zvezda Women

Katrine Lunde, the Norwegian goalkeeper whose career made her a legend, spent the 2025–26 season in Belgrade. She joined a club that had spent most of its existence being taken apart and put back together, and by then it was winning again.

The women's side first appears in 1949, when it finished second in the Serbian championship. Less than a decade later, in 1957/58, it merged with Sloboda. It was recreated in 1995, then dissolved after relegation in 2014/15. Crvena zvezda came back for good in December 2016, so the club that lifted trophies in the 2020s was less than ten years into its current life.

The first league title came in 2023–24, and the cup came with it. Both were won again in each of the next two seasons, so the league and cup trophies have not left the club since that first double. The Serbian Super Cup went to Belgrade in 2025 and again in 2026.

The main obstacle on that road is Partizan. The Red and Whites play their home games in the Sports Centre Voždovac, which holds 1,900.

Lunde's season there ended with the league and the cup both retained. The task for the new campaign is to keep hold of both against Partizan.
