Eibar Women

Before Eibar's name meant much beyond the men's side that would later reach La Liga, a group of women in the town had already built a club of their own: Eibartarrak Futbol Taldea, formed in 1991.

In 1999 it lifted the Supercopa de España and reached the Copa de la Reina final in the same season, then finished runner-up in the top-flight Liga Nacional in 2000–01. Only in 2003 did it attach itself to the men's SD Eibar, taking the name Eibar-Eibartarrak, and not until 2009 did it become the official women's section of the club.

Relegation in 2011 undid much of that momentum, and the rebuild ran until 2014–15, when the Liga Vasca, the Basque regional league, was won. The way back to the top flight, in 2020, owed something to circumstance: with the second tier's season cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, a runners-up finish was enough to earn promotion. Relegation followed again in 2022, but the response was immediate — second place in the Primera Federación sent the club straight back up, and it settled for tenth in Liga F in 2023–24.
