Havelse U19

The Wilhelm-Langrehr-Stadion in Garbsen holds 3,500 people, as happened during the club's 3. Liga campaigns. The junior side that plays under the Havelse name in the DFB Junioren Pokal draws on that senior setup rather than standing apart from it.

The senior club traces back to 1912, when it was formed as FC Pelikan Havelse, and it has spent most of its life several tiers below the game's top flight. A single season in the 2. Bundesliga, in 1990–91, remains the high point on paper, reached not long after an Oberliga Nord title in 1989. More recent seasons have added weight: a Regionalliga Nord championship in 2024–25 sent the club back up to the 3. Liga, a level it had already tasted in 2021–22 after coming up through the promotion play-offs. Two Niedersachsenpokal wins, in 2012 and 2020, sit alongside those league achievements.

Cup football has produced the club's sharpest moments. Havelse knocked 1. FC Nürnberg out of the DFB-Pokal first round twice, in 1991 and again in 2012.

Volker Finke ran the team from 1986 to 1990, before he left to build his reputation at SC Freiburg. His years at Havelse came right before that Oberliga Nord title.
