The shirt gives away the arithmetic behind the club: green for Initia HC Hasselt, black for Handbal Tongeren, with the second team entering the Eerste Nationale that same season.
For a team barely three years old, there is no silverware to weigh against the senior side's run of championships from the 1980s and 1990s — the point of Hubo Handbal 2 lies elsewhere, in development rather than results. Its best campaign so far ended with fifth place in the regular season of 2023–24 and a fourth-place finish in the promotion play-offs.
What the club still lacks, three seasons in, is a result of its own to point to.
