Karlovac 1919 sit in the Prva NL, Croatia's second tier.

The line back to Borac runs through a string of mergers and forced renamings that track the city's own history more than any footballing logic. A year after founding, Borac joined with Olimpija to become NK Karlovac. Viktorija folded in during 1929. Then came the war: between 1941 and 1945, Karlovac, Viktorija and Primorac were pressed together into a single club, ŠK Velebit. FD Udarnik, then SD Slavija — before NK Karlovac finally settled from 1954, until the 2012 collapse.

Domestically, the honours read as lower-league work: regional titles in the Treća HNL in 2004/05 and 2007/08, then further wins lower down the pyramid — 1. ŽNL Karlovačka in 2012/13, right after the refounding, and county-level titles again in 2019/20 and 2022/23.

Games are played at the Stadion Branko Čavlović-Čavlek, a 12,000-capacity ground named for the man Karlovac still regards as its own.
