Viktoria Plzeň Women

Dobřany, a small town outside Plzeň, has a football ground that holds 500 people, and it is here that Viktoria's women's side has built its own following. The pitch belongs to the club's women's section, established in 2013 as a branch of FC Viktoria Plzeň.

The team carries the same red and blue, the same crest, and the same nickname, Viktorka, as the men, but it has had to make its own name in the 1. liga žen. Fixtures against Slavia Praha and Sparta Praha are matches the local press treats as derbies even without a fixed name attached to them.

Petra Tauberová holds the club's appearance record, a mark built up over years of the unglamorous league football that does not always make headlines, while Miroslava Mrázová has taken the step up from Dobřany to the Czech national team, the clearest sign of what the set-up here can produce. The club has also sent a player through to a Czech under-19 call-up, in Jaroslava Pavlíčková, evidence of a youth pipeline working alongside the first team.

Silverware has come by way of the Czech Women's Cup, though it has been the exception rather than the rule against the country's established powers. The 2024/25 season closed with Viktoria in mid-table, fifth in the standings, a position that reflects a club still working to close the gap on Prague's leading sides rather than one settled among them.
