SK Žeravice's women play in the 1. liga žen, the second tier of Czech handball, after working their way up from the 2. liga in recent seasons. They have not reached the Český pohár or the top-flight MOL Liga.
The club traces back to 1943, when it was registered as UNION Žeravice in the Přerov district of the same name, and marked its 80th anniversary in October 2023. For most of that history the name meant národní házená rather than international handball — a distinct Czech sport in which the men's team took the national league title four times, in 1994, 1996, 2000 and 2002, part of thirteen championships in that code.
The team plays at the hala Žeravice, opened in 2020 on U Stadionu, a hall built to modern dimensions but modest in scale — 350 seats plus room for fifty athletes on the floor. White and blue remain the club colours. Besides Olomouc, matches with Tatran Bohunice and Sokol Poruba are the ones that draw attention beyond the district.
No senior name from the current women's squad stands out from the record, but the club's youth section is where Žeravice's future is being written: Kateřina Onderková and Andrea Daňková, both coming through the U19 side.
