Brinova Arena
Karlskrona, Sweden
The ground sits on Björkholmskajen. The structure itself is a result of a long-term lease with the municipality, a relationship that gives the place its steady character. It opened in 2019.
What stands out is the flexibility of the space. HF Karlskrona play their matches there, but the club isn't the only tenant; the schedule is packed with rock festivals and international qualifiers that bring visitors from outside the town.
The capacity for a match is 2,500, but the removable platforms mean the floor can be split into two smaller sections of 40 by 20 meters. This feature makes the venue less of a single-purpose stadium and more of a large hall that happens to host games. The surface is synthetic, designed for the grip needed by handball players.
The venue has hosted a World Cup qualifier, but its real strength is its adaptability.
