Tres de Febrero

Estadio Tres de Febrero sits in José Ingenieros, on Avenida Marcelo Torcuato de Alvear, and belongs to Club Almagro, though the ground itself takes its name from the surrounding partido rather than the club. It opened on 7 April 1956, and the reconstruction it went through in 2000 is the last significant change on record — the naming has stayed untouched since the opening.

What sets it apart locally is scale kept modest on purpose: room for 19,000 inside a district better known for its street grid than for football landmarks, with a natural grass pitch that has needed no rebranding, no tenant swap, no reinvention to stay relevant to the neighbourhood it was built for.
