Sporthalle Eichli

The Sporthalle Eichli sits within a complex that serves the community rather than just one team. It opened in 1991, when the Luftgewehrschützen Nidwalden moved from Ennetmoos into the new hall. The capacity is 900, a number confirmed by the German Wikipedia article for BSV Stans. That figure applies specifically to the handball hall within the larger Sportanlage Eichli site. The hall hosts matches for BSV Stans, which plays in Nationalliga B, and for Mythen-Shooters. It also holds volleyball games for KTV Muotathal and karate competitions under the IFK Schweiz banner. The shooting club Pistolenschützen Stans uses the space for cantonal matches. A new hall is being constructed on the same ground, sponsored by Maréchaux Elektro AG for fifteen years. It will take the name Maréchaux-Halle. The current building has not been renamed. The UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 catalog lists the Sportanlage Eichli as a training ground, though it notes only three seats for the main outdoor pitch. That detail belongs to the outdoor area, not the indoor hall. The hall itself is used for handball, volleyball, shooting sports, karate, and indoor football tournaments. It is managed by the municipality of Stans. The city sits in the canton of Nidwalden.
