Championship (Kazakhstan) 2026/27

The Pro Hokei Ligasy serves as the premier professional ice hockey competition in Kazakhstan. The Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federation (KHF) governs the league, which operates as a closed system with no promotion or relegation. Membership relies on financial and infrastructure criteria set by the national body. The competition was established in 1992 after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, beginning play in the 1992–93 season. It adopted the name Pro Hokei Ligasy for the 2020–21 season to consolidate domestic talent previously scattered across Russian leagues. A regular season comprises 36 games per side. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, which feature best-of-seven series for the quarterfinals, semifinals and final. A separate bronze medal match concludes the postseason. No former names were recorded for the competition itself during this period. The league has occasionally hosted foreign entries to broaden its scope. Teams from Uzbekistan participated between 2022 and 2025, positioning the competition as a regional hub. This structure differs from the Asia League Ice Hockey, which includes Japanese and South Korean sides, and the Kontinental Hockey League, where Kazakh clubs like Barys Astana compete internationally. Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk holds the record for titles with 13 wins. Nomad Astana claimed the most recent championship in the 2025–26 season. Arlan Kokshetau won the previous year. The current roster includes Aktobe, Almaty, Beibarys Atyrau, Gornyak Rudny, Karaganda and Kazzinc-Torpedo among others. The league maintains its status as the highest level of domestic play within the country.
