International Tournament (Denmark) (EU) 2021/22

The Euro Ice Hockey Challenge is a series of international ice hockey tournaments organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Founded in October 2001, the competition was established to provide competitive matches for teams not participating in the top-tier Euro Hockey Tour. It operates as a series of four annual tournaments held during IIHF international breaks in September, November, December and February. Each stage is hosted by a different country, typically involving three or four national teams playing a short round-robin schedule at a neutral venue.

A specific iteration of this series held in Denmark has carried various names, including the Danfoss Challenge and the Remington Challenge. The Danfoss Challenge was notably held in Odense, where Denmark, France, Norway and Slovenia competed in the 2007–08 season. The Danfoss branding ceased after that season, though Denmark continued to host EIHC stages under different names. In recent years, tournaments in Denmark have been listed generically as the International Tournament (Denmark).

In the 2021 edition, held from November 11 to 13, Denmark won the tournament with six points, followed by Latvia with three points and Norway with none. Latvia has participated in the broader EIHC series, hosting the EIHC Latvia tournament in the 2011–12 season, but is not a regular participant in the specific Odense-hosted editions historically. The EIHC distinguishes itself from the Euro Hockey Tour by including lower-ranked European nations and focusing on Division I and II teams rather than the traditional powerhouses. The series has no fixed pyramid status as it is an international friendly series, not a domestic league or cup.
