The Polish Ice Hockey Cup is the premier domestic knockout competition in Polish ice hockey. The tournament operates as a standalone domestic trophy, distinct from the Polska Hokej Liga (PHL) league championship and the Super Cup. It serves as a specific honour within the national structure, where the winner plays the PHL champion in the Polish Super Cup (Superpuchar Polski), a single match held at the start of the season. The competition features a "Final Four" format held annually in December. The four participants are the top-ranked teams from the regular season of the Polska Hokej Liga, the top tier of Polish hockey. The semi-finals are played on consecutive days, followed by a single-match final. If the final is tied after regulation, it proceeds to overtime and then a penalty shootout. There is no promotion or relegation associated with the cup, and the winner does not qualify for European competitions like the Champions Hockey League; European spots are determined solely by PHL league performance. GKS Tychy is the most successful club in the competition's history, having won the trophy 11 times. Due to three consecutive wins between 2006 and 2008, GKS Tychy was awarded the cup for permanent possession. The current holder is JKH GKS Jastrzębie, who won the 2024–2025 edition by defeating ECB Zagłębie Sosnowiec 4–1 in the final held in Krynica-Zdrój on December 30, 2025. This was Jastrzębie's fifth title. Other notable winners include Podhale Nowy Targ, Polonia Bytom, and Cracovia. The tournament was reactivated in 2000 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Polish Ice Hockey Federation (PZHL). Since the 2012–2013 season, the tournament has been organized by the PHL rather than the PZHL.
