To be fair, Reading had the lion's share of the ball but struggled to break down Wimbledon's setup. The visitors completed 465 passes compared to 254 for the hosts, yet their shots lacked precision. Three shots hit the target all match, and only one goalkeeper save was required from the home keeper.
And here's the thing — both teams created one big chance each. Wimbledon's four shots included two on target, while Reading managed three shots on target from five attempts. The away side blocked seven shots, suggesting they felt under more pressure than their possession figures indicated.
