Malženiče defeated Slovan Bratislava II 4:2 in the second round of the Second League on 2 August. The hosts finished ahead despite a late red card, while the visitors fell further behind in the table.
J. Krajcovic opened the scoring in the 31st minute, and E. Kozyk doubled the lead before half-time with a goal in the 41st minute. T. Husar added a third just before the break, putting Malženiče in control.
Slovan Bratislava II responded after the restart. N. Gorosito pulled one back in the 62nd minute, and S. Gresko equalised two minutes later. The visitors took the lead when A. Mojzis scored in the 76th minute, but Gresko struck again in the 78th to level the match.
Slovan Bratislava II dominated possession with 60 per cent and registered more attacks, yet Malženiče converted their chances more effectively. The hosts registered seven shots on target compared to eight for the visitors, but landed four goals against two.
The result moves Malženiče to seven points from seven games, keeping them in 12th place. Slovan Bratislava II remain fourth from bottom on five points, their run of poor form extending.
