MMKS Podhale — Sanok, Polish Hockey League

Sanok beat MMKS Podhale 3:0 in the Polish Hockey League on Friday evening. The visitors took all three points from the away fixture at 16:00 local time. Both sides arrive at this stage of the campaign having never tasted success.

Podhale sit tenth with seven games played and zero points. They have lost every outing so far, including heavy defeats to Bitom 2:12 and Katowice 1:10 in recent weeks. Sanok are ninth after six matches, also winless, having lost to Bytom 1:6 and Zagłębie Sosnowiec 1:5 among others.

and here's the thing — we had called for the away win before kick-off, with 44 per cent confidence. That prediction came good, though not through any great surprise given the form on both sides. Sanok showed they fancy their chances when opponents are struggling to find any rhythm.

to be fair, the result tells you everything about where these two teams stand. Podhale's defensive structure has not been functioning, and Sanok made their presence felt without needing to dominate possession. The scoreline reflects a straightforward away performance.

by then, the gap in the table is still zero points between them, but the psychology has shifted. Sanok have broken their duck of results. Podhale need to regroup quickly — another loss would leave them further behind in a league where momentum matters.
