O. Ihejirika gave Slovan Bratislava II the lead just before half-time, slotting home in the 45th minute plus one. To be fair, the momentum had been shifting, and the goal felt like a late flourish rather than a statement. Shamoshin responded quickly through S. Useni in the 57th minute, putting themselves ahead and changing the complexion of the match.
Slovan pushed for an equaliser but found themselves stretched. By then, the visitors had grown into the game, and their structure held firm under pressure. T. Gabris sealed the win in the 83rd minute, putting the game to bed early enough to avoid any nervous moments. Three substitutions for Slovan in that second half — P. Lembak, E. Kozyk, and D. Pavuk — could not shift the balance.
The statistics tell a story of dominance without delivery. Slovan Bratislava II held 53 per cent possession and registered 97 attacks compared to Shamoshin's 91. The hosts had seven shots on target with four on target, while the visitors managed six with three on target.
