Sid Seixeiro: Senators Should Skip Tkachuk Tribute Video
Broadcaster Sid Seixeiro says Ottawa shouldn't honor Brady Tkachuk when he returns with Florida on October 21, calling his exit a betrayal of fans.
Sid Seixeiro, the Toronto broadcaster and analyst, has told the Ottawa Senators not to bother with a tribute video for Brady Tkachuk when
Tkachuk spent eight seasons in Ottawa and had captained the side since 2021. He was traded to Florida this summer at his own request, joining his brother Matthew on the Panthers. The 26-year-old American is now due back in Ottawa for the first time in Panthers colours.
Seixeiro argued the club should skip the usual video montage entirely.
Whether the club heeds the call and drops the tribute video, or goes ahead as usual, may say something about how the front office wants that night to be remembered.
