Quinn Hughes and the NHL's American exodus from Canada
US-born stars are increasingly choosing American clubs over Canadian ones, leaving the Canucks and the league searching for a clear explanation why.

«Sens»
The NHL granted Ottawa an expansion franchise on 6 December 1990. The new club claims none of that record; the league treats the two as separate franchises, and the Sens took the ice for the first time in the 1992–93 season.
The closest they have come to the Cup itself was 2007, when they reached the final and lost to the Anaheim Ducks four games to one. The regular season has been kinder in patches: the Presidents' Trophy in 2002–03 for the league's best record, four division titles between 1999 and 2006, an Eastern Conference championship the year of that final.
Home games since 1996 have been played at what is now the Canadian Tire Centre, out in Kanata rather than downtown Ottawa.
No rivalry defines the club like the one with the Toronto Maple Leafs, played out under the name Battle of Ontario.
