Vegas Golden Knights Extend Braden Boumann
The 23-year-old forward signed a six-year, $3.4 million cap hit extension starting in 2027/28 after 26 points in his rookie NHL season.
The deal kicks in for the 2027/28 season, once his current two-year entry-level contract runs out at the end of 2026/27.
Boumann, 23, went undrafted by any NHL club. He made his league debut for the Golden Knights last season, putting up 26 points (8 goals, 18 assists) in 54 regular-season games, along with a minus-16 rating that was the second-worst on the roster. He also played one playoff game.
His numbers in the AHL told a different story. Across 20 games for Henderson, Boumann scored 26 points (12 goals, 14 assists) with a plus-12 rating.
